The Medical Imaging Roundtable: Digital Mammography
Compared to film mammography, digital mammography for breast cancer detection shows similar diagnostic accuracy. However, in some patients, the accuracy of digital is significantly higher. Almost thirty percent of the certified mammography facilities in the US now have at least one digital mammography unit – almost double the facilities from just one year ago.
